The CROS- Cisco Remote Operations Services group enables ongoing operations management of secure, Telephony networks. The Remote Operations Services group provides technology and expertise to proactively and remotely monitor, diagnose, and resolve core network management problems in converged network environments. Remote Operations Services are a part of Cisco's commitment to help grow partners' service practices while increasing customers' ability to adopt and benefit from advanced technologies such as IP Communications and Security along with "Core Network" technologies.
Customer Advocacy's Remote Operations Services (ROS) group is growing and seeking talented and motivated engineers to join our team. You will be responsible for the resolution of complex incidents and problems with Foundation Technology (WAN, LAN, Wireless, Content Networking, etc.) infrastructure for global customers.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in ONE, and experienced at troubleshooting at least THREE of the following technologies:
- IPSec/VPN (Router-to-Router, Router-to-PIX, etc.)
- LAN Switching (Layer 2 - Spanning Tree, Trunking, etc.) - Catalyst 6500 Architecture
- EIGRP/OSPF
- BGP
- MPLS
- Wireless (APs, Wireless LAN controllers, etc.)
This is a senior-level engineering role in our Incident Management team and strong customer interaction skills are essential. As we continue to grow into Advanced Technologies (Telepresence, Unified Communications, etc.), a very strong desire to learn and develop technically and professionally are a must have. CCIE is strongly desired. Will consider candidates with a CCSP, or CCNP + considerable experience and a strong desire to achieve CCIE certification. The successful candidate must be self-managing, and have the ability to multitask and triage competing demands on their time and skills. They must be able to adapt to changing circumstances, problem solve, and thrive under pressure. Your ability to effectively communicate cross-culturally is essential.
